A retired staff member of NNPC (NPDC) with over 32 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, with expertise covering drilling engineering, well completion, well design, and full asset management.

He is competent and experienced, enjoys working with people, and strives for efficiency and excellence in the discharge of his duties. He embraces challenges and focuses on solving problems as they arise.

In 2010, he led a team to Oredo 8bis and successfully saved the well from being abandoned as a result of a back-off of the 13-3/8” casing. The well is currently producing.
In 2008, when the Frontier Duchess drillship arrived for NPDC’s project, he took up the challenge and, as Company Man, supervised the drilling of the Ugboko exploratory well and Okono 6 and 7 development wells. This saved NNPC/NPDC the cost of paying consultants $2,800 per day for the period and increased production.

He supervised the drilling and completion of the first five NPDC horizontal wells in eight (8) months, all of which are producing.

He kick-started the Non-Associated Gas (NAG) and Associated Gas (AG) project in OML 20 after 18 months of inactivity.

He also enjoys coaching and mentoring young engineers working with him.

SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS

*Managed OML26 AMT and increased production from 8,000 bopd to 15,000 bopd between September 2019 and date.
*Managed OML20 and 11 Assets (Shell Transferred Assets) and increased production from 7,000 bopd to 11,000 bopd between December 2017 and May 2018.
*Company Man, Drilling Operations in Okono/Ugboko (OML 119), November 2008 – March 2010.
*Team Lead on Drilling and Completion of Ogini Horizontal Wells Projects.

ACHIEVEMENTS

*Increased production by 3,000 bopd, 15 kbopd and 6.5 kbopd from OML 20, Okono and Oredo wells respectively.
*Kick-started the NAG & AG project and commenced the Geotechnical Survey (OML 20).
*Provided 100 MMSCF/day for the Pan Ocean gas project.
*Provided 45 MMSCF/day from Utorogu Wells.

He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), Nigerian Mining and Geosciences Society (NMGS), and Nigerian Society of Engineers, and is COREN Registered.
